The one-click way

Every message we send carries an unsubscribe link, and mail clients that support one-click unsubscribe show a button at the top of the message. Either one removes you immediately — no confirmation step, no "are you sure", no login.

If you cannot find the email

Write to hello@trainedon.org from the address you want removed, or naming it, and it will be deleted by hand. You do not need to explain why.

If someone subscribed your address without asking you, say so and it goes immediately — and if it was never confirmed, nothing was ever sent to it.

What "deleted" means here

The record holding your address and your watchlist is removed from storage. We do not keep a suppression list of people who have left: that would mean holding the personal data of everyone who ever asked us to stop, which is a strange way to honour the request.

One consequence worth knowing: because nothing is retained, a later subscription from the same address starts fresh and will need confirming again.

An address that never confirms is deleted automatically within seven days without you doing anything at all.

Refunds

There is no paid product. The register and the alerts are free, there is no subscription fee, no card is ever taken, and there is consequently nothing to refund or cancel beyond stopping the mail. If that changes, this page changes with it and the terms will say so before anyone is charged for anything.

Getting a copy of what we hold

Ask at the address above and you will get the record itself — your email, your watchlist, when it was created and when it was confirmed. That is the entirety of it. See the privacy notice for why each field exists.

Removing something else

If you are here about a model or company on the register rather than a mailing list, that is a different request and is covered in the terms: write to the same address, and a disputed claim is withdrawn while it is checked rather than after.
